Data is inherently stored and organized in collections, and that data typically needs to be sorted in different ways to achieve different outputs. One of the most common and frequently used built-in methods (in many languages) is the sort method. Ruby has wonderfully convenient built-in methods that make coding splendid, but also create a situation wherein their functionality can be taken for granted. JavaScript has that where-are-the-instructions-am-I-missing-a-piece? feeling. Ruby has that right-out-of-the-box feeling. Before I learned JavaScript, I learned Ruby.
